This is a great run as they have carefully chosen a route where the runners can take in all of Glasgow beauty by the great views. The starting and finishing line can’t be missed as it’s marked by an inflatable arch way, located on the south/west side of park. As this event is located in a park there is restricted parking, may have to park further away and walk to the event, this could be you warm up! This event is for all ages to get involved, great day for a family day out. Their aim is to help people gain a healthy lifestyle by regular exercise and also to fundraise money for charities. The organisers give you a choice of over 70 charities, if you have a different charity in mind all you need to do is contact that charity yourself. Some of the charities that you can choose from are: British Heart foundation, Hearing dogs for deaf people, Hope and epilepsy Scotland. This is a great way to support many people out there who need our help.
If you want to make this day event more memorable, you can run in fancy dress, take your dog with you (as long as it’s on a lead).
This event caters all levels of physical activity, you can walk, jog or run, all walkers are just ask to let the runner starts first so they have a clear pathway in front of them. At the end of the race each participant gets some goodies consisting of, goodie bag, refreshments and a medal. All these things make this event enjoyable and fun.
